Being in Brasil, I worked with a single mother (solo mother, we call in Brazil) for 3 years. I accompanied her son, a handsome boy, since on the first day of birth at the hospital. I took care of him until he got 3 years old full time, which was the moment that his mother decided that she doesn't need a babysitter anymore.
A while later, I met a family of Brazilians who lived in Bolivia and who needed help with their kids only during the day. The kids are bilingual in portuguese and Spanish and the parents were introducing a third language, English. They were two beautiful girls, one of 4 years old and the eldest daughter 6 years old.
