Hi there, my name is makayla (aka Mak) I’m a passionate early childhood educator with 5+ years experience as both a volunteer in child care and a professional. I’ve done work here in the IS and overseas. I place a high value on imagination, active play, adventure, and child led exploration. I love being creative, and giving space for kids to be creative as well. It is important to me to be more than just a “nanny” or a “sitter”, by providing education and growth opportunities for even the smallest members of your families. I use Montessori and Socratic method teaching styles in my positions as a care giver.
