Melissa, licensed childcare assistant in Sussex

Hello, my name is Melissa, but I prefer to be called Missy. I have worked with kids for over 20 years. I have been a nanny, a childcare teacher and have done in home childcare in the past. I have my Early Childhood Education classes, training in curriculum and SIDS training. I am also certified in CPR and First Aid. I offer several services, including, language development, art and sensory and math. I teach English, Spanish and Sign Language. I believe children are naturally artistic, they deserve an outlet to express themselves appropriately. Sensory and math are both important ways to learn about the world around us and the earlier they begin to learn basic principles the sooner they will understand. I make weekly lesson plans that are based on a theme and age appropriate. We go outside when weather permits. Not only do I have play equipment but I live within walking distance of a small park with a playground and a lot of room to run. Working with children is definitely my passion. I have four children of my own, three teenagers, who are usually gone during the day and a toddler, who stays home with me. I look forward to hearing from you regarding your childcare needs.
