Hello! My name is Amanda.

My current job during the day is as an infant teacher for the Jewish Community Center (a top daycare in Buffalo!) I specialize with infants and have been working with them for years. Literally, years. I started babysitting as young as 11, and have been volunteering with babies, I lead my church nursery for a long time, and even when I was in daycare I would ask to help with the babies. I absolutely love babies if you can not already tell. This past year my infant room won cutest costumes, (I made pilgrim costumes! Hand sewn, super hard because my sewing machine broke lol). I am First Aid certified, CPR certified, and this up coming June I will have my Doula certification! I plan to use my Doula certification, so that later on next year I can go to Morocco and volunteer with babies that do not have anything.

As I do have much experience with newborns, I also have experience with older children. I love arts and crafts, theater, outside, and adventure. I have tons of energy and I'm fairly happy almost all the time. I like to have fun and I love to bring education and learning into fun. I also love to cook! This past weekend I bought a few organic baby and children food cookbooks for a friend of mine who is having trouble feeding her twins! So if you ever need your children to eat healthy, I'm your girl! Those twins I drive around every on a regular basis and love being around them!

So let me tell you a little bit more about myself academically. I graduated from college May of 2016 with a degree in Mathematics and Biology. I am currently studying to take the MCAT later in the year so I can go to medical school to become a pediatrician. I do not plan on starting medical school until fall of 2018 or 2019 though, so I will be free for a year or two. I have tons of plans and a lot of dreams. I have experience, a lot of good, positive energy, and I'm super easy to work with.
