I have a Masters of Education, Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree from Brock University, where I majored in Child and Youth Studies. I am currently an Occasional teacher, looking to babysit on weekends and Friday evenings. I have had a number of opportunities to work with children that have diverse needs, both physically and academically. My experience began as a tutor for a young child identified with a learning disability. Following this experience, I became a Program Facilitator and a Head Facilitator through the Learning Disabilities Association of Niagara, in which I worked with a variety of children with various individual needs. Currently, I am working as a Program Staff at the Boys and Girls Club and a occasional teacher for the DSBN. My experiences have assisted me to ensure each individual feels comfortable in their environment through respect, safety and encouragement. I have learned the importance of empathy, optimism, and compassion in these experiences.
