My family of four - me, Savannah, my husband Miles, our nineteen month old Cypress and our three month old Douglas - have been traveling in Europe for the past month and will be visiting Madrid during a long layover on our way from Tenerife to Barcelona. I am fluent in French and proficient in Spanish. My husband is proficient in French and can get by with his Spanish.
We will be exploring, eating and looking for fun activities for our toddler and would benefit greatly from an extra pair of hands during the day, and some local expertise from a nanny. If you are available and interested, please tell us about yourself, your experience and your rates. We have some flexibility on time for you the day, but can't go before or after our window of time as we'll need to be at the airport.
A few specifics about us as a family. My husband gets very sick if he eats gluten so we are always looking for places where he can eat safely. I don't eat meat, so we look for places where there are options for me too. We practice elimination communication - please look it up if you are not familiar with it. My mantra with this practice (which may seem strange to the world that lives under the rule of the diaper mafia) is to accept the misses and celebrate the catches. Beyond ensuring our sons' basic needs of being clean, fed and well rested, we want to show them that the world can be fun and beautiful while keeping them safe from harm. We also accept that we learn from our experiences, which sometimes mean getting hurt in the process.
