Hi, my name is Jillian , and I am reaching out to you because I have a strong desire to work in Italy as an English teacher/babysitter. I am American and graduated with my BA degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Kent State University, as well as with my TEFL Certificate, which I obtained by completing a teaching practicum in Florence, Italy, at Kent State Florence. I taught children and adults while I was in Florence. I am now a graduate student, continuing my TESL studies as a Master's student, with one semester left. I graduate in May, 2022, and am looking for jobs for the following school year, fall of 2022, or beginning in June, 2022. I know that seems like so far in the future, but I've been told that the hiring process can take a long time, so I didn't want to wait.
Aside from living in Florence during the summer of 2019 to help teach English, I also came back to visit two months ago, not only to Florence but to various towns in Basilicata, as well. I am teaching myself the Italian language and trying to do everything I can to be an appealing candidate for a job. I truly love Italy and Italian culture and hope to live there permanently someday.
